SENIOR SERVICES PROGRAMS
East River Family Strengthening Collaborative, Inc. Lead Agency for Senior Services in Ward 7 & 8 provides comprehensive programs dedicated to providing quality services which enables seniors (DC residents 60 and over) to maintain happy, healthy, active, and nutritiously balanced lives. The Senior Services offered in Ward 7 & 8 are part of the District of Columbia Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL). The Senior Service Network Lead Agencies are designed to provide older adults with ward-based and citywide supportive services, resources, and referral linkages that assist seniors with continuing to live independently in their homes and community. ERFSC is a diverse organization with programs for every senior regardless of race, sexual orientation, or any conditions providing special attention.

Citywide Specialized Programs:
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program (DHH) provides a hearing loss-friendly environment, free sign language education all services provided at our community dining centers. In addition, to a specialized equipment program that provides specialized telecommunication and safety equipment that allows for the continuation of independent living.
The Heavy House Cleaning Program provides services for seniors who are hoarders or who are at risk of losing their home due to sanitary conditions that are considered unsafe or health risks.
